Summary | 0005555: Unrealistically poor accuracy from 7.62x39mm AKs
Description | All of the 7.62x39mm AKs have unrealistically poor accuracy compared to their real life counterparts. Perhaps I maybe incorrect with the standards of older models but newer AKs such as the AK103 and AK104 have tests online with them shooting on average of 3 MOA with some showing groups as small as 2 MOA. I measured the accuracy in ACE arsenal and it shows all of the 7.62x39mm AKs at 7.2 MOA which extremely high. Ideally, this should be comparable or just slightly higher than the MOA of the 5.45x39mm AKs. Their MOA is 3.2. For reference, the M4 and M16 platforms in RHSUSAF are at 3 MOA.
Steps To Reproduce | To check accuracy, load ACE arsenal and select the weapon. Accuracy will be listed in MILs and MOA in a table next to the weapon selection list.

7+ moa sounds way off, try without any other mods besides RHS, ACE included, and do that test yourself, you can even disable sway altogether so it has zero effect on aim |

Screenshot for reference. I only used ACE, CBA, and RHSAFRF. |

Tested with RHS only - the dispersion values shown by ACE seem to be correct, at least when looking at the 7.62x39mm guns through config viewer (unless I'm missing some other value that influences accuracy). The dispersion is set to 0.0021 for all fire modes, and according to the BI wiki 1 mil = 0.001 dispersion, which seems to give us pretty much exactly 7.2 MOA. |

That incredibly high dispersion values for 7.62 AKs might be for balance purposes, since RHS needs this 7.2 MOA to prevent poor-trained AIs with AKMs from doing headshots. Just consider this as lacking proper maintenance (well, R.I.P AK-103/104). |

I would really hope that's not the case (I think PuFu makes it rather clear that it shouldn't be), but if it was I would prefer for mission makers to be able to specify the shooters skill, instead of it being gun dependant. And as you said, RIP any more modern 7.62x39 guns. |
