Summary0003712: AKM have rust colored magazine, while all other AKM variants have metal magazine
DescriptionIn the latest rhs 4.3.0 and 4.3.1, the AKM suddenly have a bakelite rust colored magazine akin to the AK74's.

Meanwhile, all the other AKM variants such as the AKM-S or the AKM GP25 retain their metal magazine.

Actions to revert the AKM back to the default metal magazine is needed.
Steps To Reproducevirtual aresnal

spawn an unit with RHS AKM and an unit with RHS AKM GP25 for comparison

Author of AKM wanted to keep diversity among all variants. Bakelite mags for AKM realistic btw

both pisotol grip and and magazines are randomized on purpose.

I see, but is there a way to use eliteness and edit the weapons to make it uniform?

which pbo of the mod should I modify to change the akm textures?

2. it is not a retexture, is a completly different model

So if I have a copy of the afrf 0.4.2, which model should I replace to get a uniform AKM look?

And also, this is just a request, but could we please have an option to select the type of weapon magazine in the virtual arsenal instead of a default randomization please, the lone akm's bakelite texture is soul breaking.

Actually, I tried it out with the afrf 0.4.2 rhs_akm.p3d file, though it did not work.

But my request remains, could you please have the option to select the rifle with the different magazines instead of a default pick?

For mismatch colored magazines I shed my ocd tears. A promise of being fixed in the future is good enough for me. I can only but hope...

In the meanwhile, is there a way I can get the 0.4.2.2 legacy downloads for the 4 mods somewhere?

there is no "promise" of being "fixed", as there is nothing to be fixed to begin with. That is how i wanted the mags to be for these weapons, that's how they will stay until either BI provides a magazine proxy (unlikely), or we find a scripted solution to have all type of mags working on the same weapon.

no, we do not provide legacy downloads anymore.
