Summary0000862: Mil dots on Leupold scopes do not correspond with vanilla ones.
DescriptionOn vanilla mils same target takes up more mils than on RHS ones.
Steps To ReproducePlace youself (vanilla sniper with LRPS scope), place target 700m away. Seetarget takes about 2.9-3.0 mils of LPRS reticle.

Replace yourself with RHS sniper or Marksman (Leupold scopes) and see same target takes about 2.5-2.6 mils.

At 400m distance it is 4.5 with RHS and 5.0 with vanilla.

Maybe it should be like this I dont know.

According to what you said both are wrong. I'll check it.

Mil scopes are based on radial degrees (a proportion part of the circle) and to calculate the distance, there's an easy operation:

(height of the target in yards) x 1000 / mils = distance in yards.

A standard human is 2 yard tall. So:

2 x 1000 / 3 = 666 yards (609 meters).

Never mind.
I am metric and can not use that formula, I used the one from Wikipedia Distance = Target height / Mils, but anyway you and BIS have different size mils that is what I am trying to say.

I tested them, and as I said before. Both vanilla and RHS are wrong (tho both are quite close).

BTW the Wikipedia one is the same as the one I said above:

Distance in km = Target height in meters / Mils

Which if you want it in the same unit of distance is:

Distance = target height x 1000 / mils :)

So will you rescale the reticles to correspond the formula or too many other parameters will be affected should this happen ?

That's what we have to evaluate with the team. Thank you for the report :)

Not overly critical.
