Summary0004628: AH-64 AI gunner Hellfire distance
DescriptionAI gunner (If pilot is also AI) does not use the maverick untill distance to target is 3500m. Although it can see and identify target (radar on). If player is pilot, I can tell gunner to shoot 8km with Hellfire-L, no problem.

Same Mig-29 , R-27r according to HUD max range about 20km, recommended about 10km, but AI shoots at 3.5-4km.

What is your view distance? Ir and manual guided missiles are restricted by view distance. And what Maverick?

Not maverick, I meank Hellfire, sorry. (L) Radar locking variant.

I will record a video. And post it here in a bit.

But after further testing it seems the problem is not the hellfire, but the target identification.
Pilot can`t identify side of the target untill it is in visual range. Radar does not specify side unless friendly. Because side is unknown pilot does not fire. Could this be the case ?

indeed, you can notice how it works when there is pair of helicopters - one with and another without data link. They should share targets via data link and fire at targets beyond 4km. Also, data link transmitted laser targets also have chance to be targeted by K missiles

I created a mission.

AH-64 has a "Fired" event handler in init and when triggered it will show a hint with distance to target.

In my tests first hellfire is fired at 3500m to target and not further.

No, just 4 RHS mods as usual.

Might be becuase you are using a different RHS/Arma version. Are you on DEV/Profiling ?

I've tried it on stable exe and same result. Maybe there was some small change in the meantime but I doubt it. If problem persist after next rhs update try to reopen this ticket and I will take a look again at it
