could you provide sources? BTR has up to 10 mm. It was slightly increased comparing to BTR-70 and that reflected in mass too.

In the russian language wiki is written what BTR-70's side armor = 6 mm.

On 9:33 the cartridge 7.62x39 57-БЗ-231 does the penetretion at 6 mm plate.
