Summary | 0004277: Mi-24 all models. Pilot has targeting camera but gunner has not
Description | When piloting Mi-24 the targeting camera is accessable. This however does not work in the gunner seat although the gunner should be the one with the target camera I guess.
Steps To Reproduce | bind target camera to an unused key (default bind is CTRL + right mouse button, works as pilot but as gunner it switches to the aiming view) place Mi-24 in editor play as pilot open target camera via configured key play as gunner target camera is not available
Additional Information | the target camera is pretty cool. you can use the range finder, FLIR and night vision. It does aiming/hit calculation as well (the green crosshair). In the pilot seat it is static, you cannot move it. If that would be available for the gunner it should be movable with the turret.

pilot camera was removed from pilot seat. " play as gunner target camera is not available" thats not true. Use +/- on numpad to switch between different optics |

The gunners target camera does not come with FLIR and night vision though (the removed pilot camera did). That might be intended but if for example the V & P models would have FLIR and NV that would differentiate them from the D models. At the moment the D models are identical to the V & P models since we can change the pylon layout. A bit more diversity between the models would be cool. Just a thought. |

Mi-24V and Mi-24P do not have any night fighting optics in real life In the early 2000s, Russia produced the Mi-24PN variant for adding a FLIR on the nose https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/96/Russian_Air_Force_Mil_Mi-24PN_Dvurekov-2.jpg [^] But as you see, it's significantly different from the Mi-24P, in having a new nose and shorter wings. It has been superseded by the Mi-35M, which again is a significantly different model |
