Summary0003724: AI countermeasures.
DescriptionIn the current setup helicopters can not detect IR missile launches and are therefore vulnerable to those attacks.
I heard that IRL pilots would just launch these flares at random when located in the area of operations with potential manpads.

Maybe this is possible to implement for arma ai ?

The conditions can be:
1) Pilot in combat mode
2) Random generated number from 30 to 240. Duration between the flare launches.
3) Random generated number from 2 to 10. Amount of pairs of flares launched. (Single flare launch mode then should be added like in vanilla vehicles).

Once plane or heli is locked by radar, this script stops and vanilla countermeasure system is used.

Once lock disappeared, this script used again.

If pilot back to Aware mode, script stopped.

I was thinking about something like that but I'm a little bit worried about compatibility with different AI mods. It would be most convenient & performance friendly to include something like that in danger.fsm but the thing that something like that can't be stacked & only one .fsm can be run at once for single unit. Some of the vehicle crews are already using that (BTR crew & hatches) but I haven't decided about more widespread deployment of such idea yet.

Anyway, maybe I will try something like that in the future since I was also thinking about making some improvements to tank crew AI so they are for example using engine exhaust smoke screen, use maybe NSVT where helicopter is detected or just face enemies with front of the vehicle, instead of exposing their rear.
