The name is correct. LAR (Light Armoured Reconnaissance) doesn't utilise an organic machinegunner role. Vehicle crewmembers perform this role when required. In cases such as general dismounted operations without their LAVs, and occasions where one crew member can dismount from the vehicle with the six scouts. |
