Summary | 0001932: Russian Tank Turret Azimuth Indicator (really really minor)
Description | In t72 (and other russian tanks I assume) the gunner's turret azimuth indicator does not display the direction the commander's sight is pointed. The long hand indicates rough azimuth while the short hand indicates fine. This is presumably to use the tank in an indirect fire role. However, the model in game shows the long hand as the direction of the turret and the short hand as the direction of the commander's sight, which is IMO better for hunter-killer capability, but it would be cool to be able to use tanks for indirect fire. Perhaps realistic vs. h-k could be an option in settings? Thanks!

From this source (proper indeed) we know the longer arm is turret facing. "The indicator is akin to a clock, with a minute arm and a second arm. The larger arm roughly shows the direction the turret is pointing to, being a tool of convenience, but also points out the turret's traverse in degrees. The smaller arm (which rotates very rapidly if the turret is turning) is the arc minute arm. It points out the orientation of the turret in increments of 1/60ths of a degree. It is only of any real use when the tank is called upon for indirect fire." Here is also helpful blog : http://szextant.blogspot.com/2014/07/112-tank-armored-fighting-vehicles.html [^] |

Michalm1393, it is not a degree. |
