Summary | 0006188: AFRF Thermal Imaging rangefinder bug | ||||||||
Description | I have noticed that on alot of Russian vehicles with Thermal Imaging, that the horizontal turret aim gets broken. ( it sways in the direction youre turning the turret too far and then back to the reticle. ) This is rather annoying - not blaming anyone - as it makes aiming at moving targets really difficult. This only happens when you use the ´´rangefinder´´ ( the keybinding for the rangefinder is for some odd reason the ´´Lock-on´´ key, maybe that has something to do with it. Note; When you rangefind and the rangefinder displays a distance the turret sways too far and then back to the reticle. However as soon as you aim into the sky and reset the rangefinder to ´´----´´ basically default distance it works again, meaning the turret isnt swaying too far in the direction youre aiming. | ||||||||
Steps To Reproduce | 1. Select BMD-4M A or BMP-3 ( or Im pretty sure basically every other AFRF vehicle with thermal imaging. ) 2. Rangefind any distance. 3. Turn turret horizontally in any direction with the Thermal imaging camera zoom set to default ( zoomed out ) and obsever the cannon oversteering / swaying in the direction youre turning the turret. This can also be observed in 3rd person. 4. Point gun into sky, rangefind to set the range to default and observe that the cannon is now fixed again. | ||||||||

It's gun lead feature. You can dump automatic lead with throw key (by default G - you can change that keybinding in RHS Game Option). Additionally, you can disable automatic lead in same RHS Game options available in pause menu. |
