| Summary | 0000568: M1A1/M1A2 FCS causes gunner's sight to desynchronize with gun | ||||||||
| Description | After activating FCS (via [T] or ballistic computer) gunner's sight is no longer strictly synchronized with rotation of a turret. For example, I have a M1A1 with turret pointing at 0 degrees. After measuring the distance to some object I rotated the sight (and turret, since sight is built in it) and stopped at 90 degrees but the turret continues rotation for 10-30 degrees more without any external input and eventually stops pointing at 0000057:0000120 degrees while sight stays at 90 degrees. After 2-3 seconds turret starts rotating backwards and synchronizes with direction of gunner's sight. Any following rotation of a turret causes the same effect. The severity of desynchronisation depends on difference between original and new direction (greater angle causes bigger desynchronization). | ||||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Get in any Abrams-series tank as gunner. 2. Rotate the turret in any direction; note that tank's barrel alawys stays in one posistion relative to sight's reticle. 3. Activate the FCS via pressing [T] or opening ballisitc computer (it doesn't matter wether distance is valid for rangefinder). 4. Try rotating turret in any direction; note that barrel starts moving horizontally relative to the sight's reticle. | ||||||||

"and eventually stops pointing at 0000057:0000120 degrees" -> "and eventually stops pointing at approx. 120 degrees" |

Такое на российских танках есть. |
