Summary0005515: Kh-29ML, -29T and Kh-25ML do less than expected damage on US armor
DescriptionSaid missiles do very inconsistent damage when shot on M1A2SEPv1 , M2A3 and M1A1SA. Abrams tanks usually either blow up or take heavy damage when shot from rear (+-45 degrees to sides), but when shot from frontal aspect (+-45) they might take anything from no damage to tank nor crew, to one or two crew members dead and tracks/hull damaged. Top hits similarly range from turret dmg + crew member dead to everyone dead and tank blown up. When crew is turned out the driver can take 3 missiles to his face without dying and the tank may or may not take any damage.
  M2A3 is very hard to actually blow up, unless it is shot excessively (2-3 missiles). The driver survives most hits to the vehicle, unless shot from front. M2A3 also survives 1 or 2 Kh-29MLs to the inside of the vehicle when the hatch is open (what module dmg it takes varies).
Steps To Reproduce1. Place a MiG-29SM with Kh-29MLs and Kh-25MLs on pylons
2. Place a target vehicle M1A2SEPv1 , M2A3 or M1A1SA
3. Place a drone Tayran AR-2 for lasing
4. Lase the target and fire missile(s)
5. Observe
6. Change the lasers spot and/or rotate the tank and repeat

Kh25 and 29 are high explosive missiles only - they are not heats like Maverick for instance. Turned out driver thing is general Arma behavior - it happens with all vehicles. Not sure about damage variation but I guess it depends on how accurate your shot is?

Considering Kh-29 has a roughly 300kg HE load, you can expect some pretty nasty damage when hittimg E.g. M1 ufp around the drivers hatch, ingame this does nothing but track damage most of the time.
   Bradleys on the other hand have almost nothing to protect them from such a blast and should be turned into minced meat. Yet they rarely blow up, and aside from frontal hull hits, the driver survives most impacts. Again it took 1-2 x 300kg of HE inside the vehicles to barely blow it up (driver ofc survived).

@igornoproblem, Kh-29 has 116 kg HE Load. 320 it is warhead weight

Define "rarely". For me vehicle is almost always knocked out. Are you using some mods? Bradleys are heavily armed vehicles so I don't understand what do you mean by saying "nothing to protect them from such a blast"

@redux My mistake, misread it. @reyhard Rarely as in out of more than 10 different cases only couple led to destruction of the vehicle. Vast majority of hits led to only track damage and 1-2 crew members dead. Armament remains usable almost always. Tried it with and without mods.

Any specific repro? I'm not able to reproduce it on my end with M2A3
