Gunner cannot turn on Mi-24 engine in real life. He is only capable of emergency steering in case if i.e. pilot is dead. He can't retract gear too since all the switches are in pilot compartment

So gunner can take control only if the engine is already on?

He can take control over helicopter even while engine is off but he won't be able to turn on the engine or control gear

Yes you were right, I have just tried it, thank you. Can you also help me with Ka-52 issue? As a gunner, I point at a target (say a helicopter or a tank), zoom in to max, change to thermal vision, a "ТГ" sign appears, then I hold T (target key) for a second or two and a "ТА" sign appears and target is locked, I shoot a 9M127M missile from about 2km range, and it misses the target every single time. Am I missing something?

There was error in 0.4.3.1 and it will be fixed in next release which should be somewhere around this week
