| Description |
The Marine Corps does not wear unit insignia, for the sake of uniformity. The patches of velcro are for, at most, the placement of IR reflective patches for the sake of visibility at nighttime. It is possible to find pictures of Marines wearing American flags on the velcro patches, but they are out of regulation. |
