@MajorLatency I think you dont know how real armor works, and armor in RHS mod works very similar. Armor on vanilla tanks is crap, and unrealistic box system. No matter where you hit, allways tank is destroyed. In RHS, armor is calculated in proper way ( plus minus ) and integrated with vehicle model, so all part of the vehicle have diferent armor value. In arma 3 vanilla vehicles there are just parts showed on damage diagram (turret, hull, engine, tracks) and thats all. Even strategy "Men of War" is better made in this aspect. |

@Bad Tankman We are not debating if the hit point system or value calculations in Arma3 are correct. Your personal commentary on Arma3's tanks damage system is irrelevant. RHS is aware of the problem as I mentioned above. For tanks to be able to take at least 10 direct hits from the main gun of a US tank without being totally destroyed - clearly there is something wrong (extended armor off on all clients in a MP game). Unless you think that Russian tanks have depleted uranium hulls etc. RHS is still in it's early stages of development for A3. And btw this is not some debating system. Perhaps you should hang around the Arma3 feedback tracker - you'll find lots of people you can harass there. |

Please MajorLatency answer what RedPhoneix asked you so we can help you.
Tanks in real life have a lot of designs and mechanisms to avoid damage. They have weaknesses, but obviously if you use for instance an ATGM against the frontal armor of a tank it will be able to bear a good amount of them (Specially with reactive armor and others).
If you use the same ATGM against the top of the turret (the weakest point) then you can neutralize it with a single shot. |
