Summary | 0000786: Machine gun's do not penetrate slum housing metal golf plate walls (the rickety metal shacks) |
Description | The machine guns (tested with US machinegunner and RF machinegunner) do not penetrate the small rickety slum shacks scattered all over Altis.
I'm not a gun expert but I think a 7.62 would penetrate the more thin metal golf plates when shot at from point blank. |
Steps To Reproduce | Find one of the many small shacks and try shoot through it. |
Additional Information | Some of the shacks that consist of wooden planks combined with metal DO allow penetration through the wood. So I'm thinking its probably the metal material itself that is just misconfigured. |

|
Please report this to BIS as we do not provide penetration values for vanilla assets. |

The shacks that have this problem that I found at this moment include:
slum_house01_f
slum_house02_f
slum_house03_f
metal_shed_f
As I said before though, the wooden parts of these slum shacks do have proper penetration. It seems to be just the metal bits that seem bugged.
I've also made a small example video about the problem

thank you for the proper report. It seems you were right, for some reason neither 5.** (RHS and vanilla) and 7.**(RHS) penetrate those thin metal sheets (vanilla 6.5, 7.** and above do). |

|
Sorry for the botched up first attempt, first time I do this kind of thing (properly reported a bug). |

this will be looked at, but for the forseable future it will remain the same.
It is due to the fact that vanilla ammo damage and penetration is waaaay too high, and our adjusted (more realistic) values do not play well with the way all buildings are configured in terms of penetration.
We'll see if there is a way to change the penetration values for BI buildings, or there is another way do deal with the issue.
