0000783: Parallax issues with (some) aircraft sights & view movements
It's common for pilots & communities which use attack aircraft to have the HeadRangePlus mod (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?168314-Head-Range-Plus-Improved-TrackIR-Movement [^]), allowing you to move your view within the cockpit akin to how DCS and other simulators work.

The issue is that Arma tends to have "painted on" heads-up displays for aircraft, to include the A-164 Wipeout. The A-10 behaves the same way in RHS. Because of this, if you move around the cockpit, parallax issues happen due to the HUD being directly in front of you at a short distance, instead of projected into infinity as in reality.

Example:
https://i.gyazo.com/06928d1474a548a1b751856228f46026.mp4 [^]

This means that unless you are sitting in exactly one specific position, the aiming cues will be incorrect. Because of this, the RHS A-10 is not easily used by someone with a head tracker & a mod like HRP (which should be standard behavior across Arma vehicles).

This can be addressed satisfactorily by keeping the vehicle crosshairs enabled.

To illustrate what I mean, here is the A-164, which has crosshairs enabled, as you would normally see the gunsight:

Here is me having moved my view to the side. While I can no longer use the (broken) HUD, I can still aim with the crosshair, which represents the way a real sight would behave:

Whereas with the RHS A-10, you're going to have a great deal of trouble due to there being no 2d/correct crosshair to reference.

TLDR: Having the crosshairs enabled for vehicles helps avoid parallax issues with the poorly-modeled fixed HUD behavior of Arma.

Thanks for the report, we'll check it out.

Does it happen with other aircraft or helicopter within RHS as well?

I haven't extensively tested other aircraft for this, not sure if it applies to others. I'd imagine most aircraft with fixed HUDs would behave similarly, but I can't recall which other ones are like that (as opposed to the AH-64 which has a HUD that follows your view).

I am currently running through some old tickets, and discussed this one with reyhard. It's an Arma thing we cannot really fix.
