| Summary | 0006496: Timed flares have extremly low effectivness vs Manpads |
| Description | Timed flares are almost completely useless vs Stinger and Iglas. The chance of them deflecting a stinger or igla launch seems to be below 10%. They also do not prevent locking of the target aircraft or abort the lock before firing. Why would they be used IRL if they are completely useless? |
