| Summary | 0006227: CH53E With GAU-21 fastrope spawns in tail, fast rope system can not be stowed. |
| Description | For a while now, we have discovered that when deploying the fastrope system in the armed CH53E, the rope itself spawns in the tail rotor which has caused issues in the past where personnel can either get stuck or the rope will move back slightly and destroy the tail rotor.
Another issue that has been in place since the implementation of the aircraft is that due to the GAU-21, if you attempt to stow the fast rope system the ramp gets stuck on the gun when raising and requires the ramp settings to be leveled again. |
| Steps To Reproduce | While the 53 is in flight and a rope is in the vehicle inventory, deploying the fast rope causes rope to go through tail rotor. |
