Summary0005633: AH-64D HDU FLIR Video Starts Bright and Flyable, turns Dim and Unusable
DescriptionHowdy! Did a quick search and didn't find anything about this, so here goes:

In the Apache when operating with the HDU and turning the NVS ON, the FLIR picture will initially start out bright and flyable and then immediately dim down to a point where it is unuseable. If I continously cycle the NVS ON/OFF it will start stay bright and flyable.

This occcurs with RHS USAF being the ONLY mod enabled as well as with other mods.
Steps To ReproduceWith the HDU on, and the N (for me at least) key pressed once the FLIR image is bright and usable. After ~ a second or two it dims to a point where it's no longer usable. Cycling the FLIR with the N key ON/OFF in rapid succession maintains a bright and flyable FLIR image, but makes flying nearly impossible.

Bummer! So it’s an auto contrast feature. Lame. That’s not how real FLIR works., I mean, there’s auto contrast, but it doesn’t make the FLIR unusable...okay, is there a way to make the optic mode track with head movement then? I really want to be able to fly Th is thing at night. I can go into the optic mode, but it remains fixed forward which isn’t ideal for flight.
