Yeah, I was able to reproduce it but it seems to be some engine issue with turrets which can turn out and hideProxyInCombat being set to 0 (and it need to be 0 otherwise gunner would start in turned in state). I doesn't seems to be fixable but maybe I'm wrong and there is some config trick to do it

Can gunner hide in cup variant? Nope, that's why driver can use periscope and for technical explanation you can take a look at my previous post. Personally I prefer much more ability to turn in as gunner and since apparently you can't have both things at once, then it's going to stay like that unless someone knows other way to do it.
