0004718: AH-64 Apache - Cannot revert to TV mode in the pilot's targeting camera
While flying the AH-64 Apache (as a pilot) and when selecting the pilot's targeting camera ("CTRL+Second mouse button" by default) and after toggling between the TV/DTV, termal/FLIR(WHOT) and termal/FLIR(BHOT) - while using the 'N' key for example - it's not possible to return to the TV mode anymore.
After pressing the change view mode button (like the "N" key for example) it's only possible to toggle between termal/FLIR(WHOT) and termal/FLIR(BHOT). It is as if the TV mode disappeared altogether which of course is not only totally unrealistic but it's also a limiting gameplay issue since there are instances which is preferable to use the TV camera mode instead of termal (for visual ID for example).

Resuming, the only way possible to use the TV mode in the pilot's targeting camera is if the player never changes its view mode which it's also not desirable at all since there are many situations where it's preferable to use the termal vision modes.
1- Just play with the RHS Apache. For example open the editor and place the RHS Apache with the player being the pilot (leave as default) and play.
2- Open the pilot's targeting camera ("CTRL+Second mouse button" by default).
3- Change between view modes (using the 'N' key for example)

Pnvs is supposed only to have night modes. That day light mode is Arma bug unfortunately and there is no way to disable it on first use

reyhard,

As far as I know the pilot's targeting camera ("CTRL+Second mouse button" by default) is not or shouldn't be the PNVS - you already have it modeled with the IHADSS "action menu" and the monocle on the player/pilot's right eye (That's part of PNVS) - but instead it models or should model the pilot's watching the TADS display and taking control of it which in real life is done using one of his MFDs but due to ArmA's limitation this is done thru the "targeting camera" (for example this camera is also used to control the FLIR sensors on jet or fixed wing aircraft in ArmA).

If the pilot's targeting camera was the PNVS than you couldn't also have zoom capability in that camera for instance.

So the pilot's targeting camera should IMO be TADS (and not PNVS) which is not only realistic (again, the pilot can take over TADS control) but also a way to overcome the very limited AI when playing with an AI gunner (which is what I and most player I believe, often do in ArmA).

Pilot has access both to PNVS & TADS, click ctrl+rmb is pnvs where simple rmb is TADS. It sometimes doesn't work but it's because Arma wasn't designed in first place to handle such combos

Oh, I didn't know about the "simple rmb" camera. Thanks for the reply reyhard :)

By the way, I noticed that I couldn't pan the camera view when using the "simple rmb" like I can do with the "ctrl+rmb". Is it possible to pan the "simple rmb" camera? If yes, how?
