| Summary | 0004456: RPG-7V2 Munition path uncertainty |
| Description | The RPG-7V2 Anti-Tank Launcher has seemingly recently become neigh uncontrollable when attempting to aim at targets at even 200m distance from the launch position. Rockets of all types are liable to veer erratically off course with no was to compensate other than random chance. Rockets can at times fly incredibly high over the target, or in some cases, while ranging for a tank at 400-500 meters, the rocket nosedived and impacted the ground 50-100 meters in front of the launch position. Other launchers such as the disposable launches, MAAWS, M136, are near pin-point accurate with little to no rocket evidence. Unknown if this is the direction the RHS devs wish to take the RPG-7, but at the moment it seems very ineffective beyond 100 meters. |
| Steps To Reproduce | Personal tests involved placing tanks on the airfield to produce the best possible situation for the rockets, using a rangefinder to make accurate distances from launcher to target. Personal tests also made use of the V3 sights for the RPG-7, as it makes a better viewing of the rocket launch, at least on my system. Ace was also used in a different set of testing to view if wind was effecting it to such a large degree, in which wind direction had no seemingly no forbearance to the rockets path, firing into, with, and intersecting the wind, other than right and left wind push while firing on a perpendicular firing line, however rockets still veered irratcnally up or down. All AT variants of rockets tested, AP rockets untested. Combat situation testing in recent ops with a semi-milsim group with RPGs being the main anti-tank. |
| Additional Information | Unknown if this rocket trajectory change was a result of the most recent patch or one close by, however rocket deviance was not noticed to this degree in about two months back. |
