Summary0003749: Mig-29s speed, manoeuvrability and radar
DescriptionThe Mig-29s has problem keeping up the speed when in a dogfight, looses much more speed when turning compared to other aircraft, further more manoeuvrability is greatly decreased when speed is below 350 km/h, the su-25 arguably has the same speed as Mig-29. The HUD is hard to see when looking at the blue sky or when there is sun behind (or infront) of you, sun visor doesn't help. The radar (HUD) most of the time doesnt detect the enemy unless they are less than 2 km out (AI can detect and fire R27 from 5 km away). Does ctrl+r do anything but remove the AOT? Please give us some basic tutorial about the aircraft I had to learn from DCS videos how to understand RWR system in order to have something I can call a radar.

1) There are afterburners available on MiG29 which greatly increase speed - hold shift to use them
2) HUD color is typical Arma issue unfortunately - I don't think there is too big room for improvement there
3) MiG-29 radar is HUD based & it's activated with Ctrl+R. - https://imgur.com/a/NikYD [^]
after activation you will see radar contacts in front of you

In real life SPO-15 antenna is only capable of telling you whether target is below or above you so for example if you are diving right into ZSU-23-4, then both UP/DOWN lights will be visible

And radar starts seeing targets at about 20-22km, no further.
