0003491: Support Hideturret
Hello i was wondering if the RHS team has any intrest in adding support for "animate ["HideTurret",1];". Its a command that allows you to hide the turrets of armored vehicles. For examples have a look at this thread.

This would be a really nice feature too since it would add the illusion of additional versions of the many vehicles you allready have. It would also add the possibility to be abit more creative with the vehicles. For example you could remove the turret on a BMD and place a ZU23 on top to create the "BTR-ZD" also known as the "Shrezhet" see attached image for reference. Hopefully you will consider my suggestion.

Otherwise just keep doing what you doing.

I would second this idea, as I have been looking for something like this for a long time.

I feel it's unlikely to happen at this point since many armoured vehicles we have either have large black ambient occlusion shading under the turret ring that is baked in to the _co texture, or there are other "ugly" bits hidden under the turret ring like holes in the mesh.

All of which would look bad once the turret is removed and requires time and effort to rework models and textures with removal of the turret in mind.

Effort required to do it across the whole mod is not dissimilar to converting the BMD hull to a proper BTR-D hull for such purpose in the first place.
