Summary | 0003256: Since last RHS update; Armor setting for RHS Armored vehicles might now be a bit too high? |
Description | Since the last RHS update any APC or Tanks in missions, that have their Health/Armor % increased ( to improve AI intelligence/skill) to say 90 or 100% then the vehicle its self becomes impossible to destroy. even at a default of 56% you can fire a dozen RPG at a BMP & all you get is an engine fire! Do you think the Armor setting for RHS might be a bit too high? |

any specifics? I'm unable to reproduce it. Are you using some other mods maybe? |

Not in the Missions with the problem, Vanilla & RHS only
Fire Metis or RPG at a RHS tank or BMP with health/Armor set at 100% from a distance of about 300 to 400m the BMP engine will catch fire, but if you continue to fire RPGs at the target you can not destroy it, i.e. get it to blow up. at 40% settings for health/armor it will. |

where do you fire those RPGs? record video & provide .rpt file please.
also, is it happening only on dedicated server? are you using some scripting command blacklisting maybe?

I'll have a go, don't normally record ArmA.
No scripting commands
Off line in the editor placed a RHS empty BMP 500m on the Stratis runway, launcher ammo crates. Fired a number of different AT it it & found; unrealistically impervious to RPG & PCML perhaps?
Noticeably worse on a Dedicated server. In the editor off line the default AT DID seem to be quite effective. It could well be a Dedicated Server problem. |

Made a quick Video using the editor offline with default AAF & RHS BMP.
Not sure how to upload?

Now tried them all & RHS launchers work normally.
So basically in order to effectively destroy RHS armour you have to only use RHS launchers, well that's rather limiting is it not?

Was there not a compatibility addon ? Something called Real Armor Mod or something like that which applied RHS armor to vanilla units ? |

I've not heard of that. Don't know why RHS has it's Armor settings out of sync with the Default settings, that cant be right. |

well, it was always like that due to more realistic approach we wanted to take. We didn't wanted to mess vanila content. For now, no changes are planned & you can use http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=24451 [^] this to add compatibility with vanila assets
In future it may change if BI will introduce improvements for Tank DLC |
