0002530: CH-47 Chinook lift Problems in Advanced Flight Model.
In the Advanced Flight Model, the Chinook is severely lacking in sufficient engine power it seems. In the AFM, the Chinook cannot slingload a HMMV without significant lift issues. Even with a full load of soldiers and equipment, the Chinook has problems taking off from lack of lift issues.
1. Get in chinook as pilot with the Advanced Flight Model Enabled
2. Try to slingload a RHS USAF HMMV
While slingloading is possible, there is not enough lift to fly properly and the engine is under constant strain when trying to lift a HMMV. In real life, the chinook can sling up to 10,000kg of cargo, the average HMMV weighs only 2,000kg. Even the UH-60M included in RHSUSAF can slingload a HMMV with no problems.

none of our vehicles is configured for advanced flight model arma uses, and most likely this will not change for the foreseeable future due to the way it is configed and lack of manpower and know-how on the subject

it works correctly without AFM
