Please consider adding the AV-8B Harrier II to your mod.
The USMC have been successfully deploying the AV-8 Harrier for many years in many conflicts around the world. It is still the only active VTOL fighter in the world and has a serious battle record. It´s capabilities and arsenal is perfect for the Arma/RHS enviroment. Most modern fighters operate in Beyond visual range enviroments and as Arma is terrible at simulating radars and complicated HUD/Missile interfaces I find it hard to understand why F-35, F-22 and PAK FA:s are modeled into Arma as their role is far beyond what Arma can simulate properly. The AV-8B can use rocket pods and other "dumb" systems that fit its operational role without being too OP in TVT MP missions. It can also operate from any Arma airfield (or LHD) without problems. It is also a fair BLUFOR equivalent for the SU-25 armament and technology wise. The CUP project even has the Arma 2 ports ready and would provide a good base model for the addition. |
