I guess it will be little harder than i tough, it will need a little rework of all russian bombs guidance, for US it will be much easier as some laser designators will be OK, on russian planes laser designators are mounted in bombs. Also some laser designators are mentioned here, but you need to take a lok at this.

They even use Laser designators with MSTA :

This also may be usefull (if isnt implemented yet):

Its all i found, look like its another tabu topic, but they use integrated laser designators - how it works - i dont know, i wasnt a pilot ever, but i hope you will know. Once we know they are using GLONASS satelite giuding for bombs as well (i think it can be done by option in action menu "mark target (GLONASS) > opening mini-map > left click mouse button to mark target), and this "integrated" laser range finders are very precise.

Actually the Russian laser designation system is quite simple. Ground units such as infantry use the 1D15, 1D20, 1D22. Those are big static laser designator's mostly for FO's. It seam that Russians might have small laser designator's GRU Spetsnaz.

So i think the best possible solution for this will be to apply standard locking for targets (same as for guided missles) BUT with small diference, player need to be on specific angle for aqquire target, once target will be locked, he can drop the bomb and escape. Is it right or someone have diferent idea?

Służy on do korekty działa w HUD a nie do oświetlania celu.
The best way to solve this issue is to add Russian stationary laser designators, CCIP would be useful and pod laser target designators for jets but that requires two siters. |

@tankman - as i said before, there are no HANDheld laser designators. We'd rather model one of those rather than a tripod static one for obvious reasons.
That said, we are open to suggestions. If you can find reliable information about such a hand gadget, no matter if it is used onlu by Spetz or normal infantry, lets us know (that means info + images). |

Pufu - what about solution mentioned after?
"So i think the best possible solution for this will be to apply standard locking for targets (same as for guided missles) BUT with small diference, player need to be on specific angle for aqquire target, once target will be locked, he can drop the bomb and escape."
Eventually add functiion to lock target everywhere (on objects, peoples), and do the same for A-10
Off course it is all about designator mounted on BOMBS, not handheld or jets...
