| Summary | 0003853: REQ: Improve Mk12 SPR/add missing versions |
| Description | Currently, only one version of the Mk12 is represented and the model is incorrect. There are 3 official and one unofficial variant, the last of which is still in use in Syria/Iraq by SF:
SPR (later dubbed Mk12 Mod 0 in 2002): Original variant of rifle, as fielded in 2001 Afghanistan invasion through Iraq and beyond. [https://imgur.com/SIcp9uv [^]]
Mk12 Mod 1: Issues with original SPR led to request for parts to complete major demnad. After accepting new variant was type classified as Mk12 Mod 1, and original rifles were Mod 0 sometime in 2002. RH's M4/M16 pack has an excellent Mod 1 with the right suppressor that mounts correctly. [https://imgur.com/SIcp9uv [^]]
Late Mk12 Mod 0: PRI redesigned handguard and FSB, few of these were fielded vs the Mod 1 and original SPR. Currently represented in A2 and CUP/RHS USAF, but handguard textures are wrong. Suppressor is also wrong. Needs suppressor from RH Mk12 Mod 1. Scope is also wrong. [https://imgur.com/jZny4LJ [^]]
"Mod H": 5th Group turned a bunch of their SPRs in and requested 16" barrels. PRI built them with 16" barrels and their newer handguard as seen in the above late Mod 0. Currently still in use in Syria/Iraq by 5th Group. Could be made from chopping up Mod 0 model, and some edits to an M4 lower with SOPMOD stock.

| Additional Information | These rifles have been used from the beginning of the GWOT through to the present. Their lack of presence in A3, especially for GWOT type missions, leaves a major gap. The Marines used them as a DMR until around 2013, They were used by SEALs and the original adopters were the Army SF and later Rangers as well. |
