Summary0003089: Hellfire-114K does not lock on to targets. It is unguided. The 114L is unreliable but functions usually.
DescriptionThe gunner does not use the missiles. I activate manual targeting and attempt to use missiles.

No guidance seems to occur.

The Hellfire-114L does seem to lockon. Though no display of when a full target lock is displayed appears.

Additional InformationPrevious versions seemed to work fine. I'd use the helicopter and use it's weapons with no problems.

I note that now the pilot independently controls the unguided rocket pods. Maybe this changed caused an error with missile lock?

Am I missing something?

I can not confirm this.

There are 2 types of apaches in the mod 1) non radar one 2) Longbow radar one

-To shoot hellfire for non radar(114N,114K):
1) Select laser marker
2) Click fire and see the laser indicator in your scope
3) Select hellfire
4) Press "T" to lock on to the laser
5) Once it is locked and beeping, click fire [Make sure to keep laser mark on the target]

-To shoot with the Longbow radar (114L):
1) Find target with your scope
2) Press "T" on target
3) Wait to lock and beep
4) Click Fire
[You may look all directions, missile will fly onto the locked target]

@7ftnick - it's about AI. I haven't thought about it before and it breaks ai. Depending on the time I will probably do some proper SALH guidance instead of using BI laserLock thing

@reyhard concur on AI.

@7ftnick I did not try the laser system. Will try now.

@reyhard I run lots of battles using AI and everything worked fine until recently. I can only use AH-64 for CAS missions. The AH-1s don't seem to be able to use their hellfires.

Would appreciate old system being implemented.

Oh ye, for AI its broken, I misunderstood the question then.

If there is a guy with a designator on the ground, then it works, AI gunner will lock on to that no problem (does not shoot very precise though).

Could we have something similar to ACE 2 concerning Hellfire-K (laser guided version) ?

there was no need to lock on the laser marker manually, you just had to enable the laser, the missile was automatically locked on it (LOBL).
