0000085: AI grenadiers vs tank
Ai are attacking armored vehicles using m320 or gp-25 and this should not happens. Arma 3 engine is so bugged that when we are in our apc and we got a commander somwhere and ai hit us from m320 our track will be broken and ai commander qrder us to leave vehicle even when we are under fire. Thats unrealistic how tracks are easy to destroy with under barrel grenade launcher ( i dont know exac name). This need to be fixed and there is few ways:
- Make all soldier be able to repair tracks and make to ai do this automaticly when in cover (harder way)
- Make ai dont attack armored vehicles from under barrel grenade launcher
- Make tracks not so vulnerable on GL ammo.
Game is unplayable with this, ai dont need serious weapon to get us out of vehicle
In editor place tank or apc,, or ifv next to enemy grenadier, do not atack him
There is additional way, but its fault of BI, make ai commander not order to get out unmobilised vehicle

Hey!

I think this phrase is a bit exaggerated "Game is unplayable with this".

On the other hand our AI will keep attacking armored vehicles using under barrels launchers, as happen in real life, in fact there's even some grenades for that devices that are specifically designed to attack armored vehicles.

But we are gonna tweak a bit the tracks resistance. :)

But you can ask team that they can add option for making the crewman an enginers. In real, at least one crewman (driver) of tank is enginer, so he can repair engine, and whole tank if damage is not deep enough. It will be very usefull option. I also asked BI to they can remove stupid order "disembark" when some not important component is on red status. But Ai are dismounting when vehicle is on roof (upside down) and then you need only to flip vehicle back and ai automaticly is gettin back to this vehicle. Same is with repairing i thing. I will make some test and write you resoults. Do not close this, i dont want to create new ticet for this.

Damm. Ai will not get back in their vehicle if its repaired. I dont know why. But they are getting back to flipped vehicle (when its get back to normal position)

And when your truck will have damaged tire, non of your whole campaign will not repair the wheel, only enginer. BI make this game stupid.
