0005697: IFV and APC cannon shells count and names
There are some mistakes in ammocount of magazines for cannons of russian vehicles:
1) BMD-2 got 250 AP + 250 HE-T but actually it must be 100 AP + 200 HE(HE-T)

"Ленты состоят из отдельных звеньев и укладываются в магазин системы питания. В переднем отсеке магазина размещается лента на 100 патронов с бронебойно-трассирующими снарядами, в заднем отсеке - лента на 200 патронов с осколочно-трассирующими и осколочно-фугасно-зажигательными снарядами."

I think that it makes sense to change current 3UOR6 on 3UOF8.

2) BTR-80A got 160 AP + 340 HE but actually it must be 150 AP + 150 HE

"Боекомплект пушки и пулемета составляет 300 выстрелов (в двух лентах по 150 штук) и 2000 патронов (в одной ленте)."

This BTR was adopted in middle of 90-s, so i think it must be 3UBR8, but not 3ubr11.

3) BMD-4 and BMD-4M got 160 AP + 340 HE but actually it must be 227 AP + 237 HE.

"Боекомплект к пушке 2А72 составляет 464 патрона, уложенных в две ленты (237 – с ОФЗ, ОТ снарядами, 227 – с БТ, БП снарядами)"

As my little wishes:
1)I would like to suggest to change 3UBR11 on 3UBR8 for "rhs_bmp3_late_msv" it will be more balancing and truly.
2)Keep only 70 AP + 230 HE for Bradley line because this IFV got only 300 rounds in ready, other 600 are in strorage and now you have oppotunity to shoot all 900 rounds nonstop.
3)And maybe it make sense to add M791 instead of M919 for M2A2.

Thanks for attention.

as for all default ammo changes: you can change that yourself via scripting. M2A2OODS was i.e. still used in 0000935:0002000 by US Army and for sure it used M919 ammo
Same with i.e. BTR80A - it is still used so it make sense that it uses newer ammo.

There is an idea though to make different factions depending on timelines so things like loadouts of vehicles could be adjusted

What about adding panel of selection rounds like on tanks? It will be more easier for user to select 3ubr6, 3ubr8 or 3ubr11 etc on various vehicle.

I know about using m2a2 right now by US Army, but when you try to simulate something like Desert Storm Operation and put M2A2 against early BMP-2, its totally disbalanced with M919. Can you at least add M791 into CfgMagazines and allowed magazines of Bushmaster?

Yes, M791 can be added - no ETA for it. As for ammo selection tab - I was planning to revamp it so it could be used during mission

verified that with some people who are serving in Russian Army most of the things are correct with exception of BMD-2, since those have 120AP+180HE loadout according to our sources.
3UOR6 on BMD2 needs to stay due to fact that BMD2 is using BPK-1-42 which has correct scaling for 3UOR6 - OF8 has different ballistics. You can read more about it here http://feedback.rhsmods.org/view.php?id=2587 [^]

yep, i found proof for this:
http://38niii.ru/obzory/nazemnaya-tekhnika/62-bmd-2-tekhnicheskie-kharakteristiki-vooruzhenie-dvigatel-foto.html [^]

About using BPK-1-42 in BMD-2:
"Для наведения на цель используется комбинированный прицел БПК-1-42 (с марта 1986г. Заменен на БПК-2-42), дневной зенитный прицел ПЗУ-8 и ручные приводы наведения."
