0001384: Inventory of vehicles
OK, i think its time to update inventory of vehicles made on the begin of mod, my suggestion is;
- GAZ 66 (ammunition) should have all kind of ammunition, including RPG rounds, RPG itself, Few AK's and maybe some basic optics for them (its a whole lot of crates in the truck ;) ).
- Insurgent vehicles should have AKM ammo instead AK-74, for now they cannot rearm at their own trucks and apc's.
- All vehicles including US, should have tollbox onboard.

while rpg7 argument is valid, I don't that ammo truck (that in theory contains vehicle ammo too) should be little arsenal after all. look at this tinny gaz66 and tell where that whole arsenal should be stored :P

:) Yes, but when i see on this ammount of crates... 4 AK-74m and 4 or 2 RPG-7 would be totally enough. Whole truck is filled with big crates. We were loading smilar crates on STAR truck and Ural 4230, and we could load tons of weapons and ammo, and there was only half of truck loaded. It a question how you put this crates, and stuff inside them. And there is other factor - gameplay - In abrams there is M136... - i didnt noticed that in real to be honest :) So putting that things in ammo trucks isnt bad and unreal idea :) There is enough space for few weapons... such small weapons. If you fold AK it will be even smaller - 1P29 could be putted next to the rifle in the box.

.... i think.... same as @Bad Tankman...... BTW im getting confused that abrams is little "ammo truck" while on Russian tanks there is no even tollbox for now.... So much storage boxes, few folded AK would fit perfect ;)

And dont forget about "greens" :) They dont have ammo for their weapons at all...

M1 & russian tank loadout is based on real documents/sources. beside that, nothing stop mission maker from adding rpg7 to gaz66 by hand

Yes, but i download many missions from steam workshop, and i just wanna click play instead of working more with the mission. BTW, i cannot find any info m136 are stored into abrams... could you share us this info?

I tell you how we were doing. It was back in the days when USSR existed, but many principles remain the same. When we were going to proving grounds, (i was tank crew on T-72M1) we was allways helping fresh meats to load all crates on trucks, beacuse our commanders was rushing. There was allways 2 crates extra of weapons, for situation, if some of fresh soldier damage his weapon, or it will be simple not working. There was allways 2 AKMS, and 2 RPG's (depend of specialists that were trained, but there was allways some with RPG). Now Reyhard, who will care about putting RPG in every single Gaz? Mission makers are not putting even ammo crates..... I think @Michalm1393 is right. BTW i readed on your source that only few crews had AT4 in OIF, guy on forum isnt too reliable source... USA are "cares" about their crew, so i doubt they would put M136 all around the crews. It would be deadly for whole tank and crew, and nonsense to all armor protection outside and specially INSIDE the abrams turret.

I understand but these are high explosive material, so putting them on storage boxes is extremally dangerous. It would damage turret on explosion or even hurt the crew, if i look at storage boxes on abrams turret, it even can blow off whole ammunition. Just look at this tank and think logically ;) All i can say, maybe it happened in one operation, maybe two, but i dont think that all abrams tanks are equipped with such "toys" on board.

I have diferent approach in this case. There is not much info about loadout of T-72, T-90A, so maybe just "tweak" them a little bit? For balance, and without cost of realism? Removing AT mines for me would be cool, but in Arma 3 it wont change anything. So maybe put some AT mines and RPG-28 on T-72, T-80 and T-90?
As of RPG in GAZ-66..... RPG-7 size is so small without rocket itself, it is no problem to put 2 of them in the boxes..... Specially if in other crates we have AK ammo, and VOG only..... SVD mags are even smaller. BTW i can write on forum i am cosmonaut...(abrams case)

EDIT: just now i found info that on T-90 there is AKS also on storage box:

so yeah, single piece of akms (and nowdays aks) is stored in there

also again, take into account that those trucks carry ammunition for all kind of vehicles - GRADs, tanks, etc so it's not so much space after all.

@Bad Tankman - we can inverse that, and say, that not all Gaz-66 are equipped with RPG or AKMS. Do you see the point? Unless there are

OK, pretty good point. You have reminded me arma 3 ammo truck store vehicles ammo as well... So lets just say we dont need RPG and AKM. But dont give the weapons to US ammo trucks.... You know what i mean? I mean multiplayer that i started to play. For now US side dont have ammo truck (or have?), For that i remember they have M113. And there are players that uses disadvantage of Russian equipment, they steal US vehicles, admins ara "baning" for that other players, there is totally mess, chaos etc. In case of ammo trucks i would apply balance - only ammo for infantry, no weapons for both, US and Russia - would you agree? Dont forget about realism aspect - in M113 there is no more space than in gaz....

Good, i have instruction for T-72B but never readed it fully....
I have some idea, but for further plans for You. Its the independent faction (green). As i dont use them too much, beacuse they stayed on WIP, i can suggest you one more thing to get them.... more partisans.
- First is T-72. I would damage a little side skirts, delete some of ERA, color some ERA blocks on diferent color, and about inventory - put some AT weapons, mines insede the tank. To the model just add few crates on turret (sides, rear, maybe rear-upper part?), and add some bushes, branches etc for provisional camo. It would fit the partisans perfectly.
- Second and are BMP-s - just do the same as on T-72 (damages, camo, inventory).
- Third and the last - uniforms - make some mix of górka, sweatpants, balaclava etc. and thats it, you have first class partisans for arma, there wasnt better yet.

OK in 1.54 we can see the tollbox (yeah!) on every tracked vehicles.
My opinion is.....
- We should get at least sidor backpack, as Great limitations of arma world, wont let us take tollbox in hands, we need backpack to get it.
- All APC's (including wheeled) should have tollboxes (with famous and style backpacks) on board as well


Please dont forget about it....
