Summary | 0001407: MilDot range estimation doesn't give the right range. |
Description | MilDot optics can also be used in range estimation. Your (only) mildot optic, Mk. 4 ER/T 3.5-10x M3, gives me roughly 75% of the range it should give. You need to rescale the optic image to a bit larger one. I've given the link to the mildot guide in additional information, but the formula is: (height of the target in meters * 1000) / Mildots read = range to the target in meters. |
Steps To Reproduce | Place two units 650m apart from each other. Play the other one, take Mk. 4 ER/T 3.5-10x M3 and a sniper rifle. Estimate the range with the optics. You should get something varying from 430m to 480m, even though the range is over 600m. |
